We are a small non-profit housing organization seeking an experienced Construction Specialist. Contract position with varying workload and flexible, part-time hours. Job entails completing initial house inspections, developing scope of work and detailed specifications for rehabilitation work to be performed, preparing
cost estimates, monitoring construction, and final inspection of completed projects.

 

Qualifications: a background in residential construction required. Must possess knowledge of New York State and local building codes and be familiar with HUD's Housing Quality Standards. Direct experience in assessing projects, developing work scopes, preparing specifications, and monitoring construction preferred. Microsoft Office computer skills a plus. Must have valid New York State Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
